We are recruiting for a well-established international freight forwarding company and are looking for an experienced Freight Forwarder, experienced with Ocean Export Operations to join their Manchester team. This is a hands-on, start-to-finish role managing sea freight shipments (LCL & FCL) with full operational ownership.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete export process via sea freight, including Less than Container Loads (LCL) and Full Container Loads (FCL).
- Take responsibility for pricing, quoting, and providing competitive solutions to customers.
- Liaise and negotiate with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and internal teams.
- Track shipments, update clients on progress, and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Complete import customs declarations via CDS and ensure compliance with all import regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor KPIs for all shipments.
- Collaborate with colleagues across branches and support business development by maintaining strong client relationships.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in pricing and quoting within ocean export operations.
- Strong knowledge of sea freight processes (LCL & FCL).
- Understanding of customs clearance and export compliance.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience liaising with agents, shipping lines, or hauliers.
- Knowledge of other transport modes is desirable but not essential.
