Air Export Operator required for a global freight forwarding business based in the Heathrow area. Are you an experienced Air Export Operator looking to join a business that genuinely values its people, invests in their development and offers long-term career progression? Due to continued growth, they’re looking to strengthen their Heathrow operation with the addition of an experienced Air Export Operator. The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing international air export shipments from booking through to final departure, ensuring every movement is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end Air Export shipments.
- Liaise with airlines, overseas offices, hauliers and customers.
- Prepare and check export documentation including MAWBs, HAWBs and customs documentation.
- Arrange airline bookings and monitor shipment progress.
- Ensure all customs and compliance requirements are met.
- Communicate proactively with customers, providing regular shipment updates.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.
- Process job costing, invoicing and maintain accurate shipment records.
- Build strong relationships with customers and overseas partners.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within Air Export Freight Forwarding is essential.
- Strong understanding of international air freight procedures.
- Knowledge of export customs documentation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using a freight forwarding system such as CargoWise, ASM Sequoia or similar would be advantageous.
