Job Purpose
You will be accountable to the Team Leader for the day‑to‑day running of the bookings function, ensuring operational procedures are followed, and delivering a high standard of service to customers and overseas partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own workload efficiently to support business priorities and service levels
- Handle customer and overseas agent queries promptly, ensuring clear and consistent communication
- Liaise with shipping lines to arrange and amend bookings as required
- Ensure all bookings match customer requirements accurately and are processed in a timely manner
- Monitor and review performance across your allocated trades
- Follow company procedures and maintain high operational standards at all times
- Provide proactive updates to clients and overseas agents regarding shipment status, including any delays or issues
- Escalate operational issues to the line manager where required
- Work closely with the documentation team to ensure smooth shipment processing
