I’m looking for a hands‑on Mechanical Inspector to join a thriving and expanding engineering business in Knutsford. Responsibilities

  • Inspecting CNC‑machined parts (first‑off inspections)
  • Using precision tools such as micrometers, verniers, and height gauges
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (imperial measurements)
  • Comparing CAD designs with finished components
  • Completing quality documentation and supporting issue resolution
  • Managing non‑conforming parts via an ERP system
  • Working with advanced equipment like CMM and FARO arms (full training provided)

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or engineering background (apprenticeship or experience)
  • Experience in machining, automotive, aerospace, or precision engineering
  • Confident reading of engineering drawings and use of inspection tools
  • Understanding of ISO9001:2015 quality standards
  • Detail‑driven, reliable, and proactive
