Are you an experienced and dedicated nursing professional with a passion for dementia care? We are seeking a Deputy Home Manager to join this team at a well-established 42-bedded dementia nursing home in Maidstone. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in a fully occupied home, providing exceptional care and support to residents living with dementia.
About the Role
As the Deputy Home Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of the home. This is a dual role, combining management responsibilities with hands-on nursing duties. You will work 40 hours per week, split between 18 hours of management duties and 22 hours as Nurse in Charge. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home.
- Leading and mentoring the nursing and care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Conducting clinical assessments and developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Managing staff rotas, training, and development to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NMC Registration as a General Nurse (RGN).
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse in a dementia nursing home setting.
- Strong clinical skills and a thorough understanding of dementia care.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Experience and qualifications in management are highly desirable.
