Service Engineer – Critical Power

We're looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join a growing engineering business specialising in critical power systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills who enjoys working independently, solving technical problems and delivering excellent customer service.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing generators, UPS systems and associated critical power equipment
  • Fault diagnosis and emergency breakdown response
  • Installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Load bank testing, inspections and electrical testing
  • Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting customers with technical advice and training
  • Participating in an on-call rota and occasional overnight stays

About You

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Experience working with generators, UPS systems or other critical power equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach
  • A full UK driving licence
