Type: Permanent We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Ocean Freight Export Operator to join an established freight forwarding team in Glasgow.
You will be responsible for managing export shipments from booking through to final delivery, working closely with customers, overseas offices, carriers and internal teams to ensure shipments are handled efficiently and to a high standard.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous ocean export experience who enjoys working in a busy operational environment and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities Liaising with customers and overseas offices.
Managing shipments from start to finish.
Handling financial elements including invoicing and forecasts.
Completing key shipment milestones accurately and within agreed timescales across internal IT systems.
Ensuring export processes and documentation are completed correctly.
Working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Working towards agreed targets and objectives.
Maintaining a positive, customer-focused approach at all times.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting the wider operations team.
What You’ll Bring Previous UK experience in ocean freight exports within a freight forwarding environment – ideally 1-3 years.
Good knowledge of export processes, documentation and customs requirements.
