A leading multi-site global logistics company is seeking an experienced Freight Coordinator to join its team in Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a freight professional with strong Air and Sea Freight experience and a solid understanding of customs procedures to join a growing and well-established organisation.

The Role:

As a Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing international Air and Sea Freight shipments from start to finish, ensuring a high level of service is delivered to customers and partners worldwide. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day bookings for worldwide Air and Sea Freight shipments
  • Coordinating shipments from booking through to final delivery
  • Completing customs entries for imported goods
  • Raising and maintaining job files and all associated documentation
  • Processing shipments using the company’s in-house freight software system
  • Liaising extensively with suppliers, carriers, and overseas agents
  • Negotiating rates and services with suppliers
  • Supporting the sales team with quotations and service updates
  • Invoicing completed shipments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant customs and freight regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in both Air Freight and Sea Freight operations is essential
  • Experience with a UK based freight forwarder is required
  • Proven experience managing shipments from start to finish
  • Customs entries experience is essential
  • Strong understanding of international freight forwarding processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment
