Salary: GBP33000 - GBP38000 per annum

Location: Hybrid (1 day WFH)

We’re working with a globally established logistics and supply chain organisation to recruit a Freight Coordinator into their growing team. This business operates across international markets, supporting complex supply chains within sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and commodities, with a strong focus on innovation, compliance, and sustainability.

The Role

This is a varied and hands‑on position where you’ll support the Operations Manager and wider forwarding team across operational, administrative, and commercial activities.

Full training will be provided, making this a strong opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within freight forwarding.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating international and domestic air, ocean, and road freight (imports & exports)
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and company processes
  • Handling customs clearance and providing consultancy support
  • Liaising with overseas clients, partners, and agents
  • Completing shipping documentation (airwaybills, bills of lading, CMR notes)
  • Managing GRNs and coding purchase invoices
  • Preparing sales invoices and maintaining accurate e‑filing systems
  • Supporting supplier negotiations to ensure value for money and service quality
  • Assisting with month‑end financial processes
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and compliance

Performance Measures

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Accuracy of bookings, quotations, billing, and conversions
  • Effective job control delivered on time and within budget
  • High‑quality client communication and job tracking
  • Adherence to HMRC regulations, Incoterms, and internal processes
  • Positive feedback from clients and internal teams

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding or airline handling operations
  • Knowledge of HMRC systems and customs processes
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • Commercial awareness and attention to detail
