Our client is a leading supplier of X-ray scanning and inspection equipment, providing installation, servicing and technical support to customers across the security, industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced
Field Service Engineer to cover the Midlands region.
The Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and repair of X-ray scanning equipment at customer sites.
You will diagnose faults, carry out preventative maintenance and ensure customers receive a first-class level of technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair X-ray scanning equipment.
- Install and commission new systems at customer sites.
- Diagnose electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
- Provide technical support and training to customers when required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience servicing
X-ray scanning equipment is essential .
- Strong electrical, electronic and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience with PLC-controlled or capital equipment would be advantageous.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
