I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a well-established and growing transport operation in Croydon, moving approx. 450 pallets per day. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and successful transport team where you will play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and coordinating daily deliveries and collections
  • Managing routes to ensure maximum efficiency and service levels
  • Ensuring drivers are fully briefed and complete their deliveries and collections on time
  • Maintaining regular communication with drivers throughout the day to manage any issues or changes
  • Liaising with customers to provide updates and resolve any transport-related queries
  • Managing pallet distribution schedules and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Monitoring vehicle utilisation and adapting plans to meet operational demands
  • Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and company procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Transport Planner role within a busy transport environment
  • Strong experience within pallet distribution/networks
  • Excellent local geographical knowledge of Croydon and surrounding areas
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a high-volume workload
  • Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach
