Position Details

  • Location: Tilbury, Essex
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
  • Salary: Up to 37,500 (Commission included)

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in freight sales (sea, air, and road) within a freight forwarding environment.
  • A proven track record in sales and business development.
  • Solid understanding of the global freight industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight (imports and exports).
  • Generate leads through proactive outreach and collaboration with the Sales and Operations teams.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and ensure all relevant terms and conditions are included.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Undertake both in-office and field-based business development activities.
  • (Advantageous) Bring existing industry contacts or transferable client relationships.
