Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Executive to support the growth of our freight forwarding business.

The role combines proactive outbound business development with handling inbound quotation requests, providing tailored freight solutions across ocean, air and road freight services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, converting quotation opportunities into sales, and building long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through cold calling, email campaigns and prospecting.
  • Respond promptly to inbound quotation requests.
  • Prepare and follow up quotations for Ocean (FCL/LCL), Air and Road Freight.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using the CRM system.
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Liaise with carriers, overseas agents and operational teams to secure competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate rates and maximise quote conversion.
  • Achieve sales and gross profit targets.
  • Keep CRM records and sales activity up to date.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within freight forwarding or logistics sales.
  • Good knowledge of Ocean, Air and Road Freight.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and telephone sales skills.
  • Commercially aware with a customer-focused approach.
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
