Sales Executive required for a Sunday Times top 250, family owned Logistics company that recently celebrated their 250th year. The Freight Forwarder has multiple UK sites - this role will be based from their specialist London Air Cargo facility in Heathrow and will cover the South up to London, Hampshire and Surrey.
This Sales Executive role would suit a talented freight sales professional with a solid grounding in Air Freight operations or Air Freight internal sales looking for a step into external sales. All modes of freight considered - Attitude and hunger is everything! You manage your own diary, day and week!

The Role
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients.
- Conduct presentations for long-term business, produce and present tenders and quotations for business.
- Offer a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers by demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner.
- Generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable profit.
- Build and maintain effective business relationships with overseas correspondents, exchanging information, undertaking joint business and supporting sales visits to and from them in order to develop sales.
- Provide accurate information to internal operations staff so that all relevant administration can be completed efficiently.
- Work with Line Managers to promote specific markets and generate business through a coordinated programme of targeted joint calls.
- Keep current developments in the market and information on competitors.
- Use the sales system to record all required information and ensure that all documentation, records and systems are accurate.
Requirements
- Freight Forwarding sales experience – internal or external
- Business 2 Business experience
- Strong operational background in freight and the desire for sales also considered.
