A growing pump services business is looking for an experienced M&E Site Services Engineer to join its field-based team. This is a home-based role covering client sites, with occasional visits to head office. The role will involve servicing, maintaining, commissioning, installing and repairing pumps and pumping equipment across clean water and wastewater environments, including sewage treatment plants, submersible pumping stations, booster sets and pressurisation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, fault-find and repair clean water and wastewater pumping systems.
  • Work on submersible pumps, surface-mounted pumps, motors, inverters, gearboxes, pipework and control panels.
  • Carry out installations, modifications, upgrades and pump replacements.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on field-based equipment.
  • Support remedial quotations by reporting findings and required materials.
  • Complete site reports using a mobile/tablet-based system.
  • Take part in an on-call rota for breakdowns and emergency call-outs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar pump, M&E, wastewater, clean water or building services role.
  • Electrical bias with strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Experience with 3-phase and single-phase systems.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and control panel information.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong customer-facing skills and confident written reporting ability.
  • CSCS, IPAF, 18th Edition and confined space training would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
