We’re looking for a hands-on Road Freight Operator to join our clients Bradford team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating international road shipments across Europe, ensuring cargo moves efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle client requests for quotations for European road freight shipments, liaising with carriers, agents, and suppliers to provide competitive pricing.
- End to end management of road freight shipments. Manage all bookings, entering shipment information into the system and coordinating with partners and carriers to arrange transportation.
- Keep clients informed on shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare and issue all necessary documentation, including CMRs, transit papers, certificates, invoices, and customs forms as required.
- Forward instructions to carriers and ensure documentation is returned and processed correctly.
- Monitor shipments to meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Ensure cargo is released only with the correct documentation and cleared payments for non-credit accounts.
- Review and query supplier invoices when necessary, forwarding details to accounts.
Ideal Candidate Experience
- Previous experience in European road freight operations.
- Experience working for a UK based Freight Forwarder.
- Groupage an advantage, but not essential.
- Knowledge of road freight documentation, including CMRs and customs paperwork.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to work with clients, carriers, and agents.
