The Role
- You'll be responsible for coordinating European road freight movements across import and export operations, ensuring shipments are managed efficiently while delivering a high level of customer service.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing European road freight shipments from booking through to final delivery
- Liaising with customers, hauliers, overseas agents and transport partners
- Obtaining competitive rates and arranging transport solutions
- Producing and checking freight documentation
- Monitoring shipments and proactively resolving any delays or issues
- Providing customers with regular shipment updates
- Handling customs-related documentation where required
- Processing quotations, invoicing and maintaining accurate operational records
- Ensuring all work complies with company procedures and relevant transport regulations
About You
- We're looking for someone who already has experience within European road freight forwarding and enjoys working in a busy operational environment.
- You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in European Road Freight Operations
- Knowledge of import and export procedures
- Experience arranging groupage, part loads and full loads
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments
- A proactive approach and good problem-solving ability
- Confidence using freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office
