An established drainage services business is looking to recruit an experienced Drainage Engineer to join its field-based engineering team. The successful candidate will carry out drainage surveys, high-pressure water jetting, CCTV inspections, repairs, excavation work and drainage lining installations. This role requires strong practical experience, a professional approach and the ability to accurately identify and record drainage defects.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment safely and correctly
- Carry out CCTV drainage surveys and accurately record defects
- Recommend appropriate remedial works following inspections
- Produce drainage plans showing surveyed drainage systems
- Use CAT and Genny equipment to trace drains and underground services
- Undertake excavation and pipe replacement work
- Reinstate surfaces including concrete, paving slabs and cold-lay tarmac
- Install straight and radial patch liners
- Complete drainage lining installations on 100mm and 150mm pipework
- Complete accurate reports and job documentation
- Work safely and professionally at customer sites
Requirements
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Abrasive wheel training
- Experience operating high-pressure water jetting equipment
- Ability to use CCTV drainage survey equipment
- Experience identifying and recording drainage defects
- Ability to recommend suitable drainage repairs
- Ability to produce basic drainage plans
- Experience using CAT and Genny equipment
- Excavation and pipe replacement experience
- Experience installing patch liners
- Experience completing 100mm and 150mm lining installations
- A valid water jetting card would be advantageous
- Deep excavation and shuttering experience
- CSCS card
- Water leak detection and repair experience
