An Air Handling Unit manufacturer is looking to recruit an ambitious estimator with a clear pathway into external technical sales. This is a pre-contracts role centred around AHU selection, pricing and technical proposal development. You will review specifications, drawings and tender documentation to produce compliant, cost-effective air handling unit solutions.

Working alongside sales and project teams, you’ll support enquiries from initial assessment through to order stage, liaising with suppliers and internal design functions to refine selections and ensure technical accuracy. A key part of the role is value engineering – balancing performance, compliance and cost. The position is designed as a progression route into external sales. Over time, you will develop client relationships, gain exposure to the commercial side of projects, and transition into a client-facing role managing consultants, contractors and key accounts.

Requirements

  • Experience in AHU selection, HVAC estimating or ventilation design
  • Ability to interpret mechanical specifications, drawings and tender packages
