Ocean Import Coordinator
Location: Solihull, Birmingham
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Working pattern: Hybrid, two days working from home
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. 37.5 hours per week
We are recruiting an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join a friendly and supportive freight forwarding team in Solihull.

- Salary up to £35,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Managing ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery
- Handling FCL and LCL consignments
- Liaising with customers, shipping lines, overseas agents and hauliers
- Preparing and checking import documentation
- Arranging customs clearance and deliveries
- Providing customers with regular shipment updates
- Producing quotations and managing costs
- Resolving delays and operational issues
- Maintaining accurate records on the freight management system
Requirements
- Previous ocean import experience within freight forwarding
- Good understanding of the end-to-end import process
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Confident managing multiple shipments and deadlines
- Organised, accurate and comfortable working independently
- Customs knowledge would be beneficial
