We’re recruiting an experienced Air Freight Import Coordinator to join a successful, privately owned freight forwarding business in Manchester.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants ownership, variety and genuine career progression within a supportive and growing team.
The Role
You’ll manage air import shipments from start to finish, including:
- Coordinating air freight import shipments
- Booking with airlines and overseas agents
- Preparing and checking shipping documentation
- Customs clearance and CDS
- Liaising with customers, airlines, hauliers and agents
- Tracking shipments and providing proactive customer updates
- Costing, invoicing and resolving operational issues
- Building strong customer relationships
About You
You’ll have:
- Proven Air Freight Import / freight forwarding experience
- Good knowledge of air import procedures
- Customs/CDS experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple shipments in a busy environment
- CargoWise experience is advantageous
