Senior Systems Engineer in Winchester

Senior Systems Engineer – £50,000-£60,000 – Hybrid working

My client is a specialist engineering organisation delivering complex technical solutions for highly regulated and safety-critical environments and is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join their team.

As the successful Senior Systems Engineer you will provide technical leadership across complex engineering projects. You will play a key role in systems engineering delivery, technical assurance, integration and problem-solving throughout the engineering lifecycle.

The Role:

• Develop and technically assure system architectures, functional models, interfaces and integration strategies.
• Manage requirements, including capture, decomposition, allocation, traceability and compliance.
• Lead technical reviews, design reviews, peer reviews and assurance activities.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges through structured analysis and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Support engineering risk management, hazard identification and safety-focused design.
• Oversee configuration management, technical baselines, interface control and engineering change.
• Produce and independently review technical documentation, specifications, reports and verification evidence.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to engineers across the wider team.

Requirements:

• A degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Control, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Practical experience in systems integration, verification, validation and acceptance.
• Experience with requirements or systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Jama, SysML or UML.
• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle processes, configuration control and technical governance.
• Must be eligible for SC / DV clearance
