A well-established international freight forwarding business is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operator to join its growing team in Tamworth. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment with strong career progression prospects.
The Role:
- Working within a busy road freight department as part of a wider operational team
- Handling European groupage and full-load services
- Arranging the movement of freight from origin to final destination (UK & Europe)
- Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers
- Managing shipments from booking through to delivery
- Preparing and processing customs and transport documentation
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in European road freight or logistics
- Strong understanding of road freight operations
- Ability to manually calculate costs and charges, including taxable kilos
- Experience with customs paperwork
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
