Freight Coordinator - Deep Sea Imports & Exports
£32,000 - £38,000 | London Gateway | Hybrid Working
Are you an experienced Freight Forwarder looking for a new opportunity with a well-established and growing logistics business?
We're looking for a confident and detail-focused Freight Operator to join a friendly team at London Gateway, managing deep sea import and export operations from booking through to invoicing and completion.

The role
You’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day management of import and export shipments, working closely with customers, suppliers, shipping lines and internal teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing bookings accurately and efficiently
- Managing import and export operations
- Invoicing and operational file completion
- Resolving supplier and invoice queries
- Liaising with customers and suppliers by phone and email
- Maintaining accurate operational records
- Supporting colleagues and providing holiday cover
- Working towards CargoWise One certification
About you
We're looking for someone with previous freight forwarding experience and a good understanding of forwarding procedures.
You’ll need:
- Experience in freight forwarding, ideally deep sea
- Good knowledge of import and/or export procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
- Confident communication skills
- A positive, can-do attitude
- The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team
CargoWise One experience is desirable but not essential.
