We’re recruiting for an experienced Multimodal Freight Operator to join our team in Nottingham. This is a great opportunity for an experienced freight forwarding professional who enjoys a busy operational environment and wants to work for a business where their contribution genuinely matters.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for coordinating international freight movements across road, sea and air, managing shipments from booking through to delivery and ensuring customers receive a high level of service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing road, sea and air freight shipments from start to finish.
  • Arranging collections, deliveries and transport bookings.
  • Liaising with customers, hauliers, carriers, shipping lines and overseas agents.
  • Preparing and checking import/export documentation.
  • Coordinating customs clearance requirements.
  • Tracking shipments and keeping customers updated.
  • Managing operational issues and delays proactively.
  • Processing shipment documentation, invoices and system updates.
  • Maintaining strong customer and supplier relationships.

About You

We’re looking for someone with previous freight forwarding experience, ideally across multiple modes of transport. You’ll be organised, commercially aware and confident managing multiple shipments and priorities. A positive can-do attitude, strong communication skills and the ability to take ownership are essential.
