I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Road Freight Operator with strong knowledge of European road transport, imports and customs procedures to join a fast-paced, client-focused logistics company based in Trafford Park, Manchester.
Job type: Permanent
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 08:00-17:00
Salary: Up to £37,000
Day to day:
- Overseeing all UK import road freight pricing requests, bookings and related queries
- Prepare and respond to quotation requests promptly and accurately.
- Work closely with Europe-based teams to ensure timely EU collections and UK deliveries, proactively updating clients as needed as well as assisting with UK cross-docking requirements.
- Produce accurate invoices and issue them to clients via the internal system.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, with a focus on service excellence and repeat business.
Requirements:
- Proven European road freight experience with a UK based forwarder
- Right to work in the UK (No sponsorship is on offer)
- Experience in Road Imports
- Customs awareness and understanding of current export procedures
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach
- The ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
- A genuine passion for customer service and relationship management
