The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Air Export Operations Coordinator to join a well-established and rapidly growing global freight forwarding and logistics business at London Heathrow. You will take responsibility for managing air export shipments from start to finish, working closely with customers, airlines, overseas offices and internal teams to ensure freight is moved efficiently, compliantly and on schedule.
The Role
- Managing air export shipments from booking through to final departure
- Preparing and processing export documentation and Air Waybills
- Booking freight with airlines and negotiating rates where required
- Completing export customs entries and ensuring compliance requirements are met
- Tracking shipments and proactively updating customers
- Liaising with airlines, overseas agents and internal departments
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving operational issues
- Ensuring files are completed accurately and invoiced correctly
- Building strong relationships with customers and delivering a high level of service
Requirements
- Previous experience within Air Freight Export Operations
- Good knowledge of the end-to-end air export process
- Experience with export documentation and customs procedures
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple shipments in a busy operational environment
- A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach
