Looking for your next challenge with one of the UK’s fastest-growing transport companies? Our client is recruiting a Fleet Controller to join our Head Office team in Felixstowe. If you have experience as a Fleet Controller, Transport Planner, or have worked with Mercedes-Benz, Volvo or Scania commercial vehicles, we’d love to hear from you.
Working Pattern:
- Week 1: 6:00am – 4:00pm
- Week 2: 8:00am – 6:00pm
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing planned servicing, MOTs, defect repairs and vehicle compliance
- Coordinating external workshops and maintenance providers
- Reducing vehicle downtime (VOR) and controlling maintenance costs
- Supporting operational teams with fleet availability updates
- Raising purchase orders and checking maintenance documentation
- Ensuring compliance with Operator Licence and manufacturer requirements
- Providing technical support to drivers and operational colleagues
We’re looking for:
- Previous experience as a Fleet Controller, Transport Planner, Workshop Controller or similar
- Experience with Mercedes-Benz, Volvo or Scania HGVs is highly desirable
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and cost control
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance and compliance requirements
