A well–established UK automation specialist at the forefront of industrial automation is looking to recruit a Controls & Electrical Design Engineer. You will support the design and delivery of advanced inspection and automation systems used by blue–chip manufacturers worldwide.

The Role
- Design electrical panels and control systems using AutoCAD Electrical
- Produce schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical documentation
- PLC and HMI programming and system integration for industrial automation machinery
- Support system commissioning and testing, both in–house and at customer sites
- Work closely with mechanical, controls, and applications engineering teams
- Assist with electrical build, fault–finding, and problem–solving during manufacture
The Person
- 3+ years' experience in electrical design within industrial automation
- Strong AutoCAD Electrical experience
- PLC programming knowledge. Siemens and/or Allen Bradley
- Good understanding of machinery safety and industrial control systems
- Logical, organised, and able to work to project deadlines
- Electrical Engineering qualification. Degree desirable
- Knowledge of robotics or machine vision advantageous
