The Role:
We are seeking an experienced European Road Freight Coordinator to join a busy and well-established logistics operation based in Bradford. The role can focus on either import or export, although customs experience is essential, with a strong preference for export knowledge. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating European road freight movements, ensuring customs compliance, and delivering a high standard of service to customers and international partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and tracking European road freight shipments
- Preparing, checking, and processing all import/export and customs documentation
- Scheduling and routing export trailers and managing inbound European shipments
- Completing customs procedures for inbound and outbound freight using AS400, CNS, and ASM
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers, hauliers, and overseas partners
- Ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and internal procedures
- Providing general administrative and operational support to the wider operations team
Essential:
- Proven experience within European road freight, logistics, or freight forwarding
- Customs experience is essential (exports preferred)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proactive, reliable, and solutions-driven mindset
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Desirable:
- Experience in European Groupage operations
- Working knowledge of AS400
- Strong Excel skills
- Fluency in an additional European language
