Overview: Our client, an established and highly respected organisation within the aerospace sector, is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the successful delivery of customer programmes across a technically complex product portfolio. This role is central to ensuring operational, commercial, and technical performance across hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation systems. Acting as a key customer interface, you will drive programme delivery, resolve complex issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction while balancing cost, schedule, quality, and product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the planning and execution of customer programmes, including repairs, modifications, reliability improvements, and product lifecycle activities.
- Manage programme cost, schedule, and performance against contractual and internal commitments.
- Identify risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies and continuous improvement actions.
- Ensure all activities maintain safety, airworthiness, and configuration control.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for programme-related activities.
- Provide structured updates, recovery plans, and communication on technical or commercial issues.
- Lead regular customer reviews covering performance metrics, reliability trends, and delivery performance.
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships to support future business growth.
- Technical & Engineering Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve technical issues.
- Coordinate investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Drive prioritisation and delivery of technical changes and product improvements.
- Ensure engineering decisions maintain safety, reliability, and certification integrity.
- Operations, Supply Chain & Commercial Interface
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure efficient delivery performance and product support.
- Monitor cost drivers and support cost-reduction and margin improvement initiatives.
- Support commercial activities including contract discussions, warranty claims, and pricing.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Champion data-driven performance metrics such as reliability trends, MTBF, and delivery performance.
- Prepare and deliver programme status reports to internal and customer stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement against KPIs and overall programme performance.
- Compliance, Governance & Safety
- Ensure all activities meet applicable aerospace regulations, export controls, and internal standards.
- Maintain robust configuration control of hardware and documentation.
- Promote a strong safety and airworthiness culture across all programme activities.
Requirements

- Proven programme or project management experience within the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic or electro-mechanical actuation systems.
