About Us
White Lodge enables those with disabilities, their families, and their carers to lead fulfilling lives.
Supporting over 1,200 individuals across Surrey, we offer a diverse range of services for all ages and abilities.
Our wonderful site in Chertsey houses three specialist buildings, each with great facilities and services. These include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, a specialist nursery, hydrotherapy, holiday clubs, personal support in the home, short breaks, fitness and rehabilitation. We also offer many activities such as trips out, art, baking, swimming, and much more!
We are now looking for an Adult Day Activities Assistant to join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working 24 hours, 45 minutes per week, 10am – 4.15pm Monday, Thursday and Friday and 10 – 4pm Tuesday.

The Role
As an Adult Day Activities Assistant, you will support the delivery of engaging, person-centred activities for adults with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, wellbeing, and personal care needs are met throughout the day.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll build meaningful relationships with service users, tailoring activity plans to meet individual needs and preferences.
You’ll also contribute to the planning and facilitation of diverse sessions while monitoring service users’ health and comfort, supporting with medication administration and liaising with therapists to integrate therapy goals into daily activities.
Additionally, you will:
– Support and train volunteers within the service
– Maintain accurate records of sessions, incidents, and service user progress
– Promote safeguarding practices and report concerns appropriately
– Encourage community engagement and participation in external opportunities
Please note, due to our open and collaborative working environment and the nature of our work with children and adults with disabilities, all our office-based roles can experience periods of elevated noise levels and some elements of disruption.
About You
To be considered as an Adult Day Activities Assistant, you will need:
– Experience working with adults with disabilities or in a similar care setting
– Knowledge of safeguarding and basic health and safety procedures
– Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
– A good level of IT literacy
– A full, valid driving licence
All staff are required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Please make it known if you are on the DBS update service.
