We are recruiting for a Head of Health & Safety for a rapidly growing manufacturing group based in Tameside within the precision engineering sector. This is a newly created role aimed at driving consistency and high standards across the entire group, supporting processes such as precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and coatings.
The role is critical to ensuring the business achieves ISO45001 certification and fosters a culture where Health & Safety standards are a priority at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and standardize Health & Safety practices across all business units.
- Drive the implementation of ISO45001 and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the business units, encouraging collaboration.
- Provide strategic guidance and hands-on leadership to improve safety culture and performance.
- Minimum 5 years of Health & Safety management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- NEBOSH qualified (essential).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Either an experienced professional with a track record of ISO45001 implementation or a developing leader eager to grow under guidance.
- Basic Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience).
