The Opportunity
A well-established engineering manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Software Design Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the design and development of software for technically advanced electro-mechanical products. Working closely with mechanical, electrical and systems engineers, you will be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, commissioning and continuous product improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain embedded software for industrial control systems and machinery.
- Produce software architecture, specifications and technical documentation.
- Develop, test, debug and validate software to ensure reliability, performance and compliance.
- Support system integration, commissioning and product validation activities.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical and systems engineering teams.
- Investigate software faults, undertake root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure software is developed in accordance with industry standards.
