The Role:

  • Develop and maintain mechanical design information and management systems, ensuring integration with other disciplines for efficient manufacture and supply of new products (using SolidWorks and PDM Works).
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to achieve optimal engineering solutions.
  • Manage the evolution of standard upgrade options for products post-launch.

The Person:

  • Minimum HNC in Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, open to junior, graduate, and senior-level engineers.
  • Ideally experience designing pressure vessels, tanks, rotating/flow equipment (valves, pumps, etc), conveying systems, mechanical/material handling, special purpose machinery, etc.
  • Understanding of European Directives, CE Marking, ASME standards, and North American pressure equipment regulations.
  • 3D Modelling experience is a must. Ideally Solidworks but open to similar design packages such as Inventor or Solidedge, etc.

Salary & Benefits:

  • £40,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on Experience)
  • 25 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays
  • 36.5 hour working week with flexible start times Monday - Thursday - 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Friday - 7:30 am until 12 pm.
  • You can choose to work a full Friday and work a 9-day fortnight (Every other Friday off without affecting your holiday allowance) or finish at 12pm on Fridays.
  • Hybrid/Work From Home Bonus (Paid Twice a Year)
  • Pension 6% Employer Contribution
