A well-established manufacturer serving high-specification sectors is looking for a Quality Inspector to join its Quality Assurance team. About this Quality Inspector role

You’ll be responsible for carrying out a range of inspection and testing activities to verify the compliance of materials and finished products against stringent industry and customer requirements. The role requires a methodical and hands-on approach, with a strong emphasis on documentation, traceability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities as a Quality Inspector

  • Inspect incoming raw materials and finished goods, ensuring conformity to order and specification
  • Use high-tech tools to verify material composition
  • Review material certification and quality documentation in line with industry standards
  • Raise corrective actions for non-conforming deliveries
  • Perform dimensional inspections for end to end production to defined tolerances
  • Maintain accurate inspection records to support compliance and traceability

  • Work closely with key teams to address quality issues

Your background

  • A background in manufacturing or engineering
  • Qualifications in relevant technical disciplines (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
  • Practical experience using inspection tools such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
  • Competence in reading technical drawings and understanding quality standards

Desirable Experience

  • Training in internal auditing (ISO 9001:2015)
  • Familiarity with hardness testing, GD&T, and CMM equipment
  • Experience preparing documentation for regulated industry projects
  • Knowledge of quality assurance systems and procedures in highly regulated sectors
