We are looking to appoint an experienced Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of customer programmes within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a key role within the business, working as part of a cross-functional team to ensure projects are effectively planned, monitored and delivered in line with customer, quality and business requirements. The successful candidate will act as a central point of coordination between engineering, production, quality and commercial teams, helping to ensure customer projects are delivered on time, to specification and in line with agreed scope and cost targets.

The Role

As Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the setup and ongoing delivery of customer projects, ensuring all activity is aligned to internal processes and customer expectations. You will maintain project trackers, action logs and supporting documentation, monitor progress against key milestones, identify risks and escalate issues where required. You will also support internal and customer review meetings, ensuring key actions are captured, tracked and completed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the setup and delivery of customer projects in line with agreed scope, cost and delivery targets
  • Maintain project trackers, action logs and supporting documentation
  • Monitor project progress against key milestones
  • Identify risks, delays or issues and escalate where appropriate
  • Support internal and customer project review meetings
  • Capture, track and follow up on key project actions
  • Act as a central point of coordination between engineering, production, quality and commercial teams
  • Assist with regular project status updates and customer reports
  • Support compliance
  • Ensure FAIRs, engineering changes and project documentation are accurate, controlled and audit-ready

About You

We are looking for someone with strong project coordination or project support experience gained within an engineering or manufacturing environment. You will be highly organised, structured in your approach and confident managing multiple priorities at once. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with teams across the business as well as supporting customer-facing activity.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a project coordination, project support or similar role
  • Background within engineering or manufacturing
  • Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a controlled and structured way
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work across all levels of a business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Proof of Right to work in the UK

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience within aerospace or precision engineering
  • Understanding of New Product Introduction, FAIRs, FMEA or APQP
  • Knowledge of quality management systems
  • Experience working with customer-specific quality and documentation requirements
