The Company This well-established modular building company specialises in giving pre-owned structures a second life—transforming classrooms, offices, healthcare buildings and more into like-new spaces at a fraction of the cost (and environmental impact) of a new build. They manage the full project lifecycle in-house from refurbishment through to installation, with all work taking place from their large site in York. The business has quadrupled in size over the last five years and continues to grow. With new orders consistently coming in and lead times as quick as 8 weeks, there’s plenty to get stuck into. The Role As a Project Controller, you\’ll manage a mix of modular refurbishment projects across education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors. You’ll be responsible for each project from sales handover to final installation—working closely with internal teams (design, production, commercial) as well as external contractors and clients. Key responsibilities include: * Taking full ownership of projects, ensuring smooth delivery on time and within budget * Managing all documentation (costing sheets, H&S paperwork, O&M manuals, etc.) * Attending client meetings and co-ordinating internal departments * Supporting site teams to ensure snag-free handovers * Handling variations, resolving issues, and acting as the main point of contact for your projects While this is an office-based role, you’ll occasionally attend site meetings to ensure everything is progressing as planned. What You’ll Need * Experience in project or site management within modular or traditional construction * Strong organisational and documentation skills * Good commercial awareness and communication ability * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Must have experience working in the Modular/offsite construction industry * Knowledge of building regulations Salary & Package * Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) * Company car (Mercedes, BMW, or equivalent) * Bonus scheme (up to £500 subject to company performance) * Working Hours: 8am – 4pm Mon–Thurs, 8am – 2:45pm Friday (35-hour week) * Holidays: Generous allowance + option to buy/sell after qualifying period * Life Assurance & Personal Accident Cover * Medical (after qualifying period) * Company pension scheme * Ongoing training & development * Onsite parking * Early finish every Friday Why Apply?
