This is a well-established manufacturer supplying highly specialised equipment used in industrial and chemical environments. The business has been operating for over 30 years, is financially stable, and serves customers across the UK and international markets. Why this role exists
As the business grows, internal changes are being made to improve how production is managed. One planner is moving into a full-time purchasing role—creating a new opportunity for someone to step in and take charge of planning for a key product group. This is a great time to join a capable team and make a real impact on how planning is delivered.

What you’ll do

* Take ownership of production planning for a key product range.

* Support two additional product groups on an ad hoc basis.

* Plan schedules using ERP and MRP systems (eFAQs is used).

* Liaise daily with procurement, production, and documentation teams.

* Work closely with the shop floor to ensure plans are practical and achievable.

* Use Excel for reporting, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables.

* Help improve planning processes across the department.

What we’re looking for

* Planning or scheduling experience within a manufacturing environment.

* Familiarity with ERP systems and a structured planning process.

* Strong Excel skills—particularly VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

* Comfortable working cross-functionally and speaking with shop floor teams.

* Organised, clear communicator, and calm under pressure.

Nice to have

* Exposure to Power BI.

* Experience with MRP or production control systems.

* Qualifications in supply chain or production planning.

* Flexitime with core hours: 8:30–5:00 (Mon–Thurs), 8:30–4:00 (Fri).
