An established manufacturing business specialising in sheet metal fabrication is looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to support continued growth and operational development. The Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily production operations within a sheet metal fabrication environment
- Overseeing production planning and scheduling activities
- Leading and developing a team of approximately 35 employees
- Driving process improvements and production efficiencies
- Coordinating effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Maintaining strong communication with customers to ensure expectations are met
- Using ProgressPlus and Excel to manage production schedules and reporting
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you must have:
- Strong experience within sheet metal fabrication manufacturing
- Previous experience managing production teams within an SME environment
- Proven knowledge of production planning and scheduling
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as ProgressPlus or similar
- Good Excel skills
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
