Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed 2D site layouts and 3D CAD designs.
• Preparing comprehensive drawing packs and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production.
• Driving process improvements to enhance time-to-market, product quality, and production cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• A minimum HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years\\\’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
• Experience designing products such as lifting/loading equipment, conveying systems, material handling equipment, or special-purpose machinery.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally Autodesk Inventor or Creo (other packages such as SolidWorks or SolidEdge will also be considered).
• Knowledge of Eurocodes, engineering principles, and stress analysis of steel structures (advantageous).

Package & Benefits

• Salary: Up to £35,000 (dependent on experience).
• Working Hours: 39 hours per week with flexible start and finish times and an early finish on Fridays.
