About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer to manage and deliver new machinery projects from start to finish. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to specification. The role requires travel to customer sites and occasional international trips, so candidates must hold full UK residency rights and a valid passport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement all new machine projects
- Conduct site visits for measurements, progress monitoring, and machine acceptance tests
- Support initial design and build specifications with designers
- Prepare and review tender documentation and layout proposals
- Liaise with suppliers, sub-contractors, and third parties (onsite or remotely)
- Organise machinery delivery and collection (UK & overseas)
- Monitor project timescales, revenue, costs, and contract profitability
- Identify and invoice contract variations
- Support ISO quality system and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Use Microsoft tools including Teams, Smart-sheets, MS Project, Word, and Excel
- Provide visit reports and other management duties as required
Skills Required:
- Minimum 3 years’ project management experience
- Engineering knowledge and strong technical understanding
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or Inventor
