About the Role

This role suits someone who loves fault-finding, supporting other engineers, and being the person people turn to when they need answers.

You’ll work closely with the service engineer team and customers, helping diagnose electrical and controls issues (primarily remotely), as well as quoting follow-on work and advising on improvements.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day

  • Support field/service engineers with technical guidance and remote troubleshooting.
  • Work directly with customers to identify and resolve issues.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose faults logically.
  • Prepare quotes for electrical upgrades, repairs and improvements.
  • Occasionally attend site when additional support is required.
  • Work with the Service Manager to help plan service workload and priorities.

  • Background in industrial machinery, automation or equipment maintenance.

  • Exposure to recycling or materials handling machinery (not essential).
