The Role

A leading international engineering business is looking to recruit an Area Sales Engineer to manage and grow a well-established territory covering the Midlands and South of the UK. This is a consultative technical sales role involving a mixture of account management, customer development, technical demonstrations, and new business generation.

The responsibility scope includes:

  • Managing and developing existing customer accounts
  • Identifying and winning new business opportunities
  • Conducting customer visits, technical discussions and product demonstrations
  • Advising customers on appropriate testing and measurement solutions for their applications
  • Managing the full sales cycle from enquiry through to quotation, negotiation and close

You will maintain pipeline activity, forecasts, and CRM records, and work closely with internal applications, service and support teams.

Products and solutions include areas such as:

  • Materials testing
  • Force and torque testing
  • Tensile and compression testing
  • Packaging and product testing
  • Laboratory and quality control systems
  • Physical properties testing equipment
