We are working with a well-established precision machining business in Hyde that is looking to strengthen its quality team with the appointment of a Quality Engineer. The Role
As Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting new and existing customer programmes, ensuring quality requirements are clearly defined, managed and delivered. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing quality activities associated with New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
- Reviewing customer enquiries and ensuring quality requirements are identified and achieved
- Preparing and reviewing FAIR documentation
- Supporting PPAP and APQP activities where required
- Acting as a key quality contact for customers throughout project lifecycles
- Working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure robust process compliance
- Investigating quality concerns and supporting corrective actions
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes
- Supporting internal audits and quality system activities
About You
We are keen to speak with Quality Engineers who have experience within precision engineering, machining or manufacturing environments. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Engineer position
- Strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes
- Experience with FAIR documentation
- Knowledge of PPAP and/or APQP methodologies
- Customer-facing experience and confidence communicating with stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- A proactive approach to quality improvement and process compliance
