White Label is representing a well-established manufacturing business in East Yorkshire that is looking to appoint a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy production environment with a strong focus on woodworking-based machinery. You’ll be working alongside supporting around 60 machines with both mechanical and electrical elements. The role is roughly 50% reactive breakdown support and 50% planned preventative maintenance and is solely day shifts.
My client is offering a salary of £45,000 - £50,000 plus day shifts, overtime, pension, on-site parking, death in service and fixed holidays.
Responsibilities of the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:- Carry out morning checks and planned preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults across site machinery
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, prioritising effectively to minimise downtime
- Maintain and repair woodworking machinery including CNC machines and edge-banders
- Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a live manufacturing environment
- Order parts and liaise with suppliers
- Communicate clearly with operatives, supervisors, and senior management
- Provide progress updates and maintain accurate records
- Support general site maintenance including basic plumbing, joinery and building repairs
