White Label is working with a specialist engineering and manufacturing business in Huddersfield that requires an experienced Project Manager to join their Projects team. As the Project Manager you will take full ownership of projects from award through to closure, ensuring delivery against agreed time, cost, quality, and safety targets.

My client is offering a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus:

  • Working week 38.75, core hours 9:30am until 3:30pm with an early finish on a Friday of 1:45pm subject to meeting weekly hours.
  • 24 days holiday + bank holidays (increased with years of service).
  • 9% pension contribution.
  • Plus, additional benefits.

Duties of the Project Manager:

  • Managing all project commercial matters including cost forecasting, invoicing, and achievement of turnover and profit targets.
  • Overseeing all project activities - Design, Procurement, Fabrication, Assembly, Installation and Commissioning - through to successful customer handover.
  • Leading Project Review Meetings, approving contract changes, and managing expenditure within agreed budgets.
  • Identifying and managing technical, commercial, and business risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for new work.
  • Producing monthly project performance reports and a final closure report with key learnings.
  • Managing resources, fostering a teamwork culture, and driving continuous improvement.

Experience Required of the Project Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and to budget in an engineering or production environment.
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Degree level desirable).
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in contract management and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques, including Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.
