A leading bespoke manufacturer is seeking an experienced Operations Director to join their senior leadership team and take full ownership of day-to-day operations. This is a newly created role with autonomy to influence culture, systems, and performance across a high-quality, low-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all operational areas: manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, shipping
- Ensure OTIF delivery and adherence to the highest quality standards
- Drive efficiency, cost savings and process improvements
- Oversee ERP systems, SOP compliance and operational reporting
- Manage site facilities and support functions (IT, HR, After-sales)
- Implement and monitor KPIs across all operational departments
- Support NPI delivery through coordinated operational leadership
- Build and develop high-performing, engaged teams
- Create succession plans and raise capability across the function
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record as an Operations Director or senior operations leader
- Electronics manufacturing experience is essential
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Hands-on and commercially aware with strategic thinking
- Comfortable managing both the day-to-day and long-term planning
- High energy, credible, resilient, and culturally aligned to West Yorkshire operations
