They have a strong pipeline of projects and continue to invest in their design and engineering teams, with a big focus on developing people and providing genuine long-term career opportunities.

The Role
As Senior Architectural Technician, you'll play a key role within the design team, producing detailed architectural designs using Revit across projects within the defence, education and healthcare sectors.
The business specialises in off-site/modular construction, so you'll work closely with the wider design, engineering, manufacturing and project teams to ensure designs aren't just technically correct, but practical and buildable.
You'll remain very hands-on technically while also providing day-to-day support to a small team of 2–3 people.
The management side of the position is deliberately light touch.
You won't be spending your days doing appraisals and people management.
Instead, you'll help distribute workload, prioritise work and act as the go-to person when members of the team have technical questions or need support.
Responsibilities will include
- Producing detailed architectural designs and technical information using Revit. Working on modular building projects across the defence, education and healthcare sectors.
- Developing and maintaining Revit families, templates and standard details.
- Producing accurate, coordinated and buildable designs.
- Taking ownership of architectural design work throughout different stages of a project.
- Supporting a small team of 2–3 people with their day-to-day workload.
Distributing and prioritising work across the team.
Acting as the first point of contact for technical/design queries within the team.
- Reviewing design information and supporting less experienced members of the team where required.
- Working closely with Architects, Design Managers, Engineers and other members of the wider project team.
Liaising with manufacturing/factory teams to ensure designs can be practically manufactured and assembled.
Working with site teams to resolve design queries and technical issues.
- Supporting factory testing, sampling and design development.
It's an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys the technical, hands-on side of architectural design but is ready to become more of a senior/go-to person within a growing team.
The Person
To be considered for this position, strong Revit experience is essential.
You'll ideally have
- Previous experience as a Senior Architectural Technician, Architectural Technician, Architectural Technologist, Senior Architectural Technologist or similar.
- Strong hands-on experience using Autodesk Revit – this is essential for the position.
- Experience producing detailed architectural drawings and technical design information.
- A good understanding of construction detailing and producing practical, buildable designs.
- Experience coordinating architectural designs with other disciplines.
- Previous modular/off-site construction experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
- Experience within defence, education or healthcare projects would also be beneficial but isn't essential.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple project priorities.
- A relevant qualification within Architectural Technology, Architecture, Construction or a related discipline would be beneficial.
You don't need to be an experienced people manager.
The company is looking for someone technically strong who can naturally become a go-to person for a small team while remaining heavily involved in Revit and project delivery.
Package & Benefits
- Salary up to £55,000, dependent on experience.
- Bonus worth up to 30%, made up of company, team and individual performance.
