White Label are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to work with a market leading Engineering business in Hull. The company is looking to hire due to an increase in orders and workload.
The Role
The Design Engineer role will be to work as a member of a cross-functional project team involved in the design, manufacture and installation of customer specified door sets. As part of this role, the Design Engineer will create CAD drawings and models that reflect the customers' requirements on each order, along with schematics and fabrication drawings for the manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of Elevations, Sections and Fixing Detail drawings for submission to Architects, Engineers and Clients.
- Liaising with Architects, Engineers and Clients to ensure compliance with specification and budget.
- Operating and maintaining the RFI system.
- Inputting data to software packages for the production of BOM, Cutting Lists and Worksheets for use on the shop floor.
- Attending site meetings and resolving site issues relating to windows, doors and other products as needed.
- Preparing Operation and Maintenance files for each project.
- Liaising with internal company departments to ensure project programmes are maintained.

The Person
3D & 2D Draughting Skills in AutoCAD and SolidWorks are essential, qualification beneficial. 2-3 years of experience in a construction environment with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and BIM knowledge. Confident with MS Office software packages. Ability to understand and interpret information provided by Clients. Good time management skills. Knowledge and previous experience within the design and detailing of aluminium windows, doors, and curtain walling.
Package & Benefits
Up to £45,000 depending on experience. Annual Salary & Performance Reviews. 25 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays.
